Wind Power in Palm Springs
Here are some of the 4000 windmills in the San Gorgonio Mountain Pass just west of Palm Springs, Ca. In the photo, sand is moving towards the camera pushed by steady 20 mph winds. Turbines are spinning, but the photo doesn't capture rotation of windmill blades.
